John will be leading the cycle ride and Ken the walk.

Both walkers and cyclists will start by meeting near the War Memorial, outside Croydon Central Library on Katharine Street.

Meet from 11.15am for departure at 11.30am

Walkers will enjoy “A Wander Along the Wandle” (about 5 miles total), starting by tram from George Street to the Wandle Park stop and then enjoying parklands and ponds, with their history to explore.

Cyclists will enjoy “A Wheeling Along the Wandle” (12 to 14 miles total), cycling from Croydon and making visits to Merton Abbey Priory Museum and Wandle Industrial Museum.

There will be lunchtime refreshment stops for both groups but you could also choose to bring a packed lunch and drinks with you.

Both walkers and cyclists will meet again about 5pm in Carshalton for an optional pub visit to end the afternoon.
