Snowdrop Day at Gatton Park, Redhill

On Sunday 16th join me at Gatton Park in Reigate on one of their snowdrop days. Last time we went, a few years ago now, we were taken on a tour of the gardens. They are not large so the visit is a pleasant way to spend a February afternoon.
There are cakes (yeh!) and refreshments available to purchase and the website says there is a plant sale.
The gardens are open from 12pm to 5pm, so I suggest we meet at 12pm outside the house which is also the ticket office.

By car from M25
Exit Junction 8, taking the A217 towards Reigate. After 400 metres fork left onto Gatton Bottom (signposted Merstham). After one mile turn right onto Rocky Lane. The entrance is on the right after a further 400 metres and is signposted Royal Alexandra and Albert School.
There is a big car park.
By Bus from Croydon
10.56: 405 Bus from Park Street (stop KH) to East Surrey College
Walk 0.7 miles to Gatton Park
By Train from Croydon
11.12: Train East Croydon-Merstham – meet Barry at the station from 10.50.
Walk 1.5 miles to Gatton Park

Let me know a few days beforehand if you are coming, just so I’ve an idea of numbers, or by all means turn up on the day. Hopefully the weather will be okay – I will only cancel if the forecast is dire!
