Hello all,

This will be a walk on the edge of Ashdown Forest, Kent. About 10.5 fairly hilly miles. Conditions underfoot quite dry – at the moment!

So meet at East Croydon station for the 9.22 train to Eridge arr 10.03. (Uckfield train)

Return ticket to Eridge is £14.70, (£9.80 with railcard, a bit less with a freedom pass.)

It will be 6.5 miles to Hartfield, where there is a pub and teashop, but bring a packed lunch if you prefer.

Then 4 miles back to Ashurst station ( on the Uckfield line)

Trains back to E.Croydon at 0.56 past the hour taking 41 Minutes.
